A number of government and private agencies collaborated in assisting underprivileged new converts in owning or repairing houses through the Baitul "Izzah Warahmah" Project. This morning, the project started the repair works for the house of Awang Muhammad Tajuddin bin Abdullah @ Tanggum anak Jaban at Kampung Kuala Ungar, in the Tutong District.

The works were organized by Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD, as the sponsor in cooperation with the Islamic Dakwah Centre and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA. The project is hoped to alleviate the burden of the aid recipients aside from providing them with comfortable living, especially in carrying out daily religious deeds and enjoying the Ramadhan and Syawal atmosphere filled with joy. The function ran concurrently with the presentation of the "Infaq Jariah" from BIBD in the form of staple food, by Awang Haji Mohd. Yusri bin Haji Wahsalfelah, BIBD's Head of Government relations and Project to Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Director of Islamic Dakwah Centre. The "Infaq Jariah" will be distributed to 100 new convert families in the four districts.
