In the holy month of Ramadhan, muslims are urged to increase their religious deeds by performing mass fardhu prayers at mosques and performing more sunat or commendable prayers. In effort to attract more congregants to the Sunat Tarawih Prayers, the Ministry of Religious Affairs with the cooperation of the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Egypt Awqaf Ministry has invited Sheikh Hassan Metwally Abdel Rahman Sewify, who is a cleric from Egypt, to lead the Sunat Tarawih prayers at a number of selected mosques.
