The Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Saadatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam has held the 3rd Nursing and Midwifery Students' Research Conference. The conference was officiated by Dr Mohd Ayub Sadiq, the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Accademic Affairs of UBD.

In his keynote address, Doctor Mohd Ayub Sadiq praised the commitment shown during the Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) and Bachelor of Science (Midwifery) programme that started in 2009 as well as the enthusiasm, creativity and strong leadership in exploring new things. He noted that improvement every year in the two programmes and believed in developing students into being critical thinkers in their practice by equipping them with appropriate research skill. He added that Transparency and knowledge sharing are important pillars to promote research culture in healthcare practise aim through interaction between students, academic researchers and nursing and midwifery stakeholders.

Two hundred health-care practitioners from government and non-government agencies attended the event. The conference was intended to cultivate a culture of research in Nursing and Midwifery.
