Higher education institutions, such as Kolej Institute of Graduate Studies, KIGS, play a key role in the improvement of the creative economy. Education on creative industry requires a creation of conducive atmosphere that encourages open thought, self-expression, development of new ideas, and experimentation. According to Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy bin Ahmad, Member of the Legislative Council, the implementation of knowledge based education emphasises the development of scientific insight and creativity in the students so that they are proficient in the industry. Yang Berhormat was speaking during the launching of KIGS Bulletin 2018, yesterday morning.

Yang Berhormat said research reports have stated that desirable intangible assets are the most important resource for economic prosperity and these are in the form of ideas, know-how, creativity, and imagination. This indicates that Knowledge Management in organisation is important. Yang Berhormat added one can conclude that the competitive success of an organisation depends on the originality and distinctiveness of the products they produced as well as the creativity and imagination of the people who produce the products.

The launching of KIGS Bulletin is to commemorate the running of its educational programmes in the areas of Advertising, Broadcasting and Multimedia which was first implemented 5 years ago in 2013. The Kolej IGS Bulletin are capable in promoting students creativity and innovation in creative industry. Any article or artwork published in the Bulletin can serve as a source of encouragement for potential artists or authors.
