14 babies were born yesterday the 6th of May 2018, which was the National Family Day. The 8 boys and 6 girls were feted this afternoon in the Anak Kesayanganku Souvenir Presentation Ceremony marking their birth.

The chief guests during the Anak Kesayanganku Souvenir Presentation Ceremony at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait were Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Muhamad, wife of the Minister of Home Affairs and Datin Hajah Zalina binti Haji Omar, wife of the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The hospital recorded the births of 2 boys. The first baby boy was born to Awang Mohammad Shahirul bin Hj Adam and Dayang Anita Omar.

A similar ceremony in Brunei Muara District took place at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Hospital. The chief guests were Datin Hajah Dayang Nahriah binti Haji Asbi, wife of the Minister of Religious Affairs and Datin Hajah Norhaida binti Haji Sulaiman, wife of the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. The hospital recorded 12 births, six boys and six girls. The first baby born at 2.44 in the morning is the child of Awang Maskuri and Dayang Jamiatul Asiah Iding.
