A compound offence was recorded by the Temburong Police District in the Operasi Sepadu or Joint Operation at Ujung Jalan Control and Inspection Complex in the district. Leading last night's operation was Assistant Superintendent of Police, Muhammad Aimi Safwan bin Zalidin, the police district's Criminal Investigation and Traffic Officer. The operation involved 24 officers and personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force, the Royal Brunei Customs and Excise Department, the Immigration Department and the Agriculture Department.

In an interview the Assistant Superintendent of Police said the joint operations by the four agencies aimed to stem criminal activities and elements especially those trying to pass through the border posts during the weekend. It was also to ensure the public obeyed laws and regulations.
