To disseminate information on the Brunei Darussalam Accounting Standards, BDAS, issued by the Brunei Darussalam Accounting Standards Council, BDASC for the adoption of non-public interest entities in Brunei Darussalam effective from 1st January 2018, a briefing was held yesterday morning for the business community as well as government officials in Brunei Muara District.
Present was Pengiran Hajah Normaswati binti Pengiran Anak Haji Mashor, Director of Revenue Division, Ministry of Finance. The briefing was delivered by Awang Fauzi bin Haji Samat, Finance Officer from the Revenue Division. The accounting standards were issued to ensure higher level of uniformity and consistency in financial reporting for the relevant entities in the country. The standard will enable users of financial reports in particular to make comparisons and assess entities' performance to facilitate decision making based on a more quality information.
