His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, yesterday afternoon paid a visit to the Indonesian National Armed Forces' (TNI) Headquarters in Cilangkap, Jakarta.

Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. The arrival of His Majesty at the Indonesian Nasional Armed Forces' (TNI) Headquarter was greeted by His Excellency Dato Laila Utama Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia; Yang Terhormat Air Chief Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces; General Mulyono, Chief of Staff Indonesian Army; Admiral Ade Supandi, Chief of Staff Indonesian Navy; and Air Chief Marshal Yuyu Sutisna, Chief of Staff Indonesian Air Force.

His Majesty then joined the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian Armed Forces' (TNI) Senior Officers for a group photograph session.

From there, His Majesty proceeded to a special dais to watch a military demonstration by the TNI Indonesian Army Special Forces (KOPASSUS); TNI Air Force (PASKHAS); and TNI Navy (MARINIR).

Afterwards, His Majesty signed a parchment in conjunction of His Majesty's visit to the headquarters, and was accompanied by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Force.

His Majesty then proceeded to view various military equipment and capabilities of the Indonesian National Army, and Indonesian Strategic Industry Exhibition. The exhibition showcases as well as the military facilities and equipment supplied by several military companies from Indonesia. His Majesty was awarded as an Honorary Member of the Komando Pasukan Khusus (KOPASSUS) and the Indonesian Marine Corps (MARINIR) during His Majesty's State Visit in 2003, and also was awarded as an Honorary Member of The Air Force Infantry and Special Forces Corps of the Indonesian Air Force (PASHKAS) in 2008 by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who was the President of the Republic of Indonesia at the time.
