Fifteen suspects have been detained at the Berakas Police Station for further investigation after being found to be involved in gambling activities. The suspects, comprising 7 locals, 3 permanent residents and 5 Malaysian are aged between 30 to 60 years. The Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit, Crime Investigation Department, Royal Brunei Police Force conducted the raid at Unit B9, Level 2, Block B, Lee Chai Industrial Park, Tungku Link, Kampung Pangkalan Gadong.
During the raid, the police found equipment and cash believed to be used in the gambling activity. All the items were seized. The Brunei Muara District Police, Royal Brunei Police Force welcomes the support of the public in assisting the police in preventing criminal activities in village areas by providing information that can result in appropriate actions taken. The public who know or have information on criminal activities are urged to report to or contact any nearby police station or contact the police hotline 993.
