"Berubahlah ke Arah Yang Lebih Baik", or "Change Towards Better" was the theme of the Reintegration Run organised by the Prisons Department as part of efforts to empower support and contribution from the community to aid in the reintegration process of Supervised Peers into families and communities. Organised for the second time last Sunday, the run was one of the events held to commemorate the Prisons Department's 64th anniversary. The presentation of certificates of appreciation to sponsors of the Reintegration Run 2018 was held yesterday afternoon at the Brunei Muara District Office.
Certificates were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs. The event was held in line with department's mission of protecting the community by holding inmates in a controlled and humane manner and through proper rehabilitation so they can be useful and responsible members of the community. Also present were Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman, member of the Legislative Council; Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs and Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
