School employees should know about safety features and immediate action that should be taken in the event of a fire at the respective schools. 14 teachers and staff of the Sultan Hassan Secondary School in Bangar, Temburong, had an opportunity to take part in the Fire and Emergency course as additional knowledge.
The course was organised by the Temburong District Operation G Branch, Fire and Rescue Department. The course which began last Monday, exposed the participants to procedures of saving oneself and responsibility during emergencies. They also learned about fire characteristics, safety protection and prevention in buildings, and making action plans for emergencies. Apart from that, they also sat for a written exam on safety and fire prevention procedures. The participants said that the cooperation and demonstration by the Fire and Rescue officers has enabled them to be more attentive to safety features.
