All grant landowners in the country are reminded to pay their annual land taxes every year. They are also required to pay their outstanding annual taxes, if any.

According to a statement from the Land Department, those who fail to do so within the given period can be subjected to legal action under Section 18 of the Land Code, Chapter 40, whereby the government has the right to seize and sell any moveable property on the land and also to take back and sell the land.

Payment of annual land taxes and outstanding taxes can be made at payment counters of the Land Office in all districts during the stipulated times. For the Brunei Muara district, it is from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, from 8 to 11 in the morning and 1:45 to 3 in the afternoon. Meanwhile, for the Belait, Tutong and Temburong districts, it is from Monday to Thursday, from 8 to 11 in the morning and 1:45 to 3 in the afternoon, and on Saturday from 8 to 11 in the morning and 1:45 to 2:45 in the afternoon
