Equipping students with leadership skills, with the hope that they will be able to learn, understand and apply leadership concepts and theories which are based on Islamic principles according to Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah and the Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB concept, are among the main aspects that will be exposed to participants of the Leadership Motivational Camp 2018 for students from the Higher Diploma Teaching programme 2016/2017. The matter was shared by the Director of the Core Knowledge Centre of the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB during a media conference yesterday afternoon.
Doctor Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar, who is also the Chairman of the Leadership Motivational Camp committee, explained that the objective of the motivational camp is to uphold the titah of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, who always stresses the importance for KUPU SB to produce teachers who are professional and possess leadership. He added that it also aims to shape the character and personality of the students who possess a balance in terms of intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual development.
113 students from the Higher Diploma of Religious Teaching Programme 2016/2017 from the university college will take part in the 3-day Motivational Camp, which will take place from the 7th of January 2018 at the Youth Centre in the Capital. The motivational camp is held for the first time by the Core Knowledge Centre with the cooperation of the Youth and Sports Department.
