$26,520, Distribution of cash Tithe Money, are distributed to 50 poor and destitute asnaf in the Brunei Muara District. The distribution of the tithe money is among the ongoing efforts of the Islamic Religious Council in alleviating the burden of the poor and destitute and covering the Hari Raya Aidilfitri expenses. The Presentation and Distribution of Tithe Cash Money took place yesterday afternoon at the Kampung Belimbing Mosque, Subok.
The presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Earlier, the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony for the Ministry of Religious Affairs delegation was also held. Also in attendance was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
