The Intisyar Tamadun Islam Youth Camp or Perintis, which is a programme that aims to instil leadership traits and camaraderie among youths, has successfully shaped the self-identity of its participants, who possess discipline, vision and positive thinking. The 5-day programme ended yesterday afternoon with a certificate presentation ceremony. It was held at Lecture Hall 1 of the Sports Village Complex in Berakas.
Certificates were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The programme, which was participated by 37 youths aged between 16 and 21 years old from several government and private education institutions as well as O and A level graduates, aimed to train the participants in all aspects of character building. The programme is also hoped to increase the participants' awareness on their importance as movers and leaders of the country.
