Yesterday was the last Friday before the Wukuf in Arafah next Thursday. To ensure the safety of the intending haj pilgrims, several locations and roads leading towards Masjidil Haram have been closed early by security authorities.

Although part of the congregants can access the Masjidil Haram area, road blocks have been set up earlier on by security personnel and this has forced other congregants to only sit at the mosque's compound. The road block was set up to ensure the safety and comfort of the congregants apart from controlling traffic flow at Masjidil Haram.

Due to the sweltering heat of up to 42 degrees Celsius, security personnel also helped in distributing drinking water to the congregants. Various methods have been carried out to reduce the heat and provide a bit of cooling to the pilgrims. The journey back to the hotel was also a challenge for the congregants as soon as they finish performing the Friday prayer as millions of people fills the road from all directions.
