Brunei Darussalam has a trusted halal certification, according to the guidelines and regulations underscored by the government. The matter was highlighted by the Chairman of the Halal Research Institute for Products and Services of Osaka, Japan during the 2nd International Seminar on Halalan Thayyiban Products and Services.

According to Professor Doctor Quamrul Hasan, the system has facilitated matters for the inspection of halal food from overseas. In this regard, Brunei Darussalam must further solidify partnerships to strengthen the system.

Earlier during the seminar, Profesor Ir Sukoso from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Indonesia shared that as of 2019, the halal certification process will be carried out by the Halal Product Assurance Coordination Body, Ministry of religious Affairs, Indonesia.
