Citizens are encouraged to appreciate the presence of mosques and religious facilities within their communities, said the Minister of Religious Affairs during the 25th anniversary commemoration of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman emphasized the importance of gratitude in Islam, noting that such an attitude brings divine rewards and added value.
The anniversary event featured activities including the reading of Doa Tahlil in memory of former mosque officials and the Mass Fardhu Maghrib and Isya' prayers, led by the mosque's takmir committee. The ceremony underscored the mosque's ongoing role in fostering spiritual and community life.
