A.C.E Teens Camp Closing Ceremony

​The Active, Admirable, Charismatic and Excellent, ACE Teen Camp which was held for 4 days ended on 27th November afternoon, with certificates presentation to participants.

 

Certificates were presented by Dr Ang Swee Hui, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional at the Ministry of Health. The programme was joined by 35 students from five selected secondary schools which targeted teens aged between 12 and 15. With the programme, it was hoped to help reduce cases of social symptoms. Aside from that, the participants can carry out their responsibility to educate and share information with their peers.

Brunei Music Video Final Contest

 

​LEKA Music Video by Matters of Choice emerged as champion in the Brunei Music Video Final Contest organized by Radio Television Brunei, RTB. The Brunei Musik Video is the first video music production contest held in the country. It took place on 26th November night, at Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.

 

Present was Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Broadcast live through RTBGo and RTB ANEKA, eight music video finalists competed in a contest which is hoped to showcase the talent, ideas and creativity of artists, especially in the production of music video either individually or in group.

 

The Music Video Champion, ‘Leka’ by Matters of Choice received five thousand dollars; runner-up Azzawj Media with music video, ‘Pesan’ received four thousand dollars; and Filterworks Productions with music video, ‘Dangan’ in third place won three thousand dollars. While the other finalists received a thousand dollars as well as a trophy and certificate.

Launching of ‘Ke Kampung Kitane’ Programme

 

In an effort to bring closer and strengthen relation with the village residents, the Temburong District Office through the Mukim and Village Institutions Division organised the ‘Ke Kampung Kitane’ Programme. The event took place on 27th November morning, at Kampung Selapon Community Hall in Mukim Batu Apoi, Temburong District.

 

The programme was officiated by Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The programme was filled with a walkathon heading to Taman Aie Tenab which was coincided with the launching of signboard. Also held was the planting of trees for the Green Protocol Programme. Also present was Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Temburong District Officer.

Trees Planting and MoU Signing Ceremony

 

​Realizing the need for smart collaboration between the campus and local communities and in line with the Wawasan Brunei 2035, the Management and Science University, MSU through the MSU Brunei Chapter Alumni established a collaboration with the Kampung Belimbing Consultative Council, Mukim Kota Batu especially Tasik Serubing Recreational Park. A Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was held on 27th November morning, covering aspects of community ties, human capital development, research as well as education and learning. The ceremony took place at Tasik Serubing Recreational Park.

 

Earlier, a ‘Thumb Print Sustainable Development Goals’ was held followed by a ‘Brisk Walk’ activity around the park and tree planting. Among those participating was His Excellency Dato’ Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam.

 

The event continued with the signing of the MoU witnessed by the Malaysian High Commissioner to the country. Under the MoU, Kampung Belimbing will be the centre for community activities involving MSU Brunei Chapter Alumni, the local community and students.

Kiudang Festival

​The Kiudang Festival with a slogan “Siok inda beranti” was organised by the Kampung Kiudang and Padnunok Consultative Council with the cooperation of stakeholders through the whole of nation approach. Conducted through three concepts namely recreational, family and bazaar market, the festival aimed to promote the ecotourism products found in Kampung Kiudang as an attractive domestic tourism destination to visit.

 

The Festival among others filled with a 45-kilometre recreational cycling heading to Tasek Merimbun, family aerobic and 2-kilometre brisk-walk. Also held was the ‘Kampungku Parade’ event. As the recipient of the ASEAN Standard Community-Based Tourism Award, the Kampung Kiudang Consultative Council is always looking forward, especially exploring the opportunities available by involving the participation of the village community, especially in the tourism industry.

The Kiudang Festival 2022

​The Kiudang Festival 2022 is one of the strategies in the efforts to help the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism in diversifying the economy by promoting development and support the domestic tourism sector in Brunei Darussalam. According to the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, one of them is an initiative run by the Kampung Kiudang Consultative Council through the Kiudang Festival. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, explained the matter during an interview at the Launching of Kiudang Festival, 27th November morning.

 

Yang Berhormat further added that it is the Ministry’s effort to encourage the International visitors to come to Brunei Darussalam and also to encourage the locals to travel within the country. Hence, it is among the Ministry’s initiative to renew the Kenali Negara Kitani. The Minister hoped that other mukims and villages are able to promote the domestic and international tourism in the country.

BFA World Cup Tournament 2022

​To enliven the ongoing World Cup season in Qatar, Brazilian Football Academy, BFA Sendirian Berhad organized the BFA World Cup 2022. The tournament took place 27th November afternoon, at Peak Club, Berakas. Among those who participated in the tournament was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince’s son, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah’s son, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad ‘Amir.

 

For under eight category, first place was won by the South Korean team and the Brazilian team won the second place while the Switzerland team in third. Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad ‘Aamir joined the Switzerland team. Six categories were competed on a Round Robin basis, namely Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16.

Brunei FA Cup: DPMM FC 2 – 0 Kota Ranger FC

​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office watched the Brunei FA Cup 2022 football match between DPMM FC and Kota Ranger FC for the semi-finals second leg. The match took place at the Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, 27th November afternoon. Also in attendance were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s brother, son and daughter, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah.

 

DPMM FC led the game in the 13th minute through Shahrazen Said. DPMM FC continued to double the score in the 24th minute through Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman. The results of DPMM FC TWO and Kota Ranger FC NIL remain until the final whistle. With the result, DPMM FC advanced to the final with an aggregate of 3-0 and will face Kasuka FC. The final match is scheduled to take place on the 4th of December 2022.
