Geneva: The Executive Board of the World Health Organisation (EB WHO) convened for its 159th session in Geneva, Switzerland, discussing key issues impacting global health governance and strategy.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the meeting covered significant topics such as the outcomes of the 79th World Health Assembly and reports from the Committee Programme, Budget and Administration Committee of the Executive Board. Additionally, the agenda included insights from the Standing Committee on Health Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response, alongside discussions on management, governance, and finance.
Leading the delegation from Brunei Darussalam was Doctor Dayang Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, who serves as the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. The session underscored the ongoing efforts to enhance international health responses and organizational effectiveness within the WHO framework.
