1,393 New Cases, 2,314 Cases Recovered
11 COVID-19 cases remain in Category 4, while 5 cases are in Category 5, and 3 COVID-19 cases have passed away in the past 24 hours in which all of them are categorised as death not due to COVID-19. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.
1,393 new cases have been reported yesterday, taking the total cases to 126,109. Of the new cases, 1,215 were from ART results that were uploaded to the BruHealth application, whereas 178 were from 1,551 RT- PCR laboratory tests. 2,314 cases have recovered, bringing the total recovered cases to 113,654 cases with 12,262 cases remaining active. At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 5.4 percent. 195 active cases are placed in isolation centres and hospitals, while 12,065 positive cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
