1,191 New Cases, 1,484 Recovered Cases
10 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, while 5 are in Category 5. Meanwhile 3 COVID-19 cases have passed away within the last 24 hours and are not categorized as deaths due to COVID-19. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health informed the matter during the Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 Situation. The media conference at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health was also attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.
The Minister of Health added that 1,191 new cases were reported bringing the total cases to 127,300 cases. Of the new cases, 983 were ART test results that were uploaded to the BruHealth app while 208 were from 2,177 RT-PCR lab tests carried out within 24 hours. Meanwhile, 1,484 cases have recovered bringing the total number of recovered cases to 115,138 cases while the total number of active cases was 11,966. The bed occupancy rate in isolation centers nationwide is 4.8 percent whereas 172 active cases are receiving treatment in isolation centers and hospitals, while 11,794 positive cases are currently undergoing home isolation.
