Brunei’s Sultan Holds Audience with Vietnamese Vice-President of National Assembly
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam held a significant audience with Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice-President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the meeting took place at Istana Nurul Iman, marking a notable event in the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Brunei and Vietnam. Accompanying Vice-President Nguyen Khac Dinh were several high-ranking officials, including Tran Anh Vu, Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei, and other key members of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
The discussions focused on enhancing the Comprehensive Partnership between the two nations, covering cooperation between their respective legislative bodies and other priority areas outlined in the Plan of Action for 2023-2027. The talks also extended to regional and international issues of mutual interest, reflecting the depth of the diplomatic relations shared by Brunei and Vietnam.
The audience was also attended by prominent Bruneian officials such as Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, Speaker of the Legislative Council, and other members of the government, emphasizing the importance of the event in fostering closer ties between the two Southeast Asian countries.
